Online with Erin: Finding the candidates online

By: WFRVNEWS
Updated: July 12, 2011
(WFRV)- Looking for information about your local senate candidates? You can find it online. It's not enough anymore to have yard signs and go door-to-door; you have to have an online presence if you're running for office.

You can Google the candidates to find out more information, of course. But most candidates take control of their campaign with their own websites and social media.

You can find all of the candidates at a glance at Wisconsin Vote.

You can sometimes find links to the candidates online presence here- but not always.

In District 2-

Nancy Nusbaum has web, Facebook and Twitter presences.

Senator Robert Cowles has space on the Wisconsin Legislature website.

In District 14-

Fred Clark has web, Facebook and Twitter sites.

Senator Luther Olson has his location on the Wisconsin Legislature website.

In District 18-

John Buckstaff has a Facebook event site

Jessica King hasweb, Facebook and Twitter sites.

And the incumbent - Senator Randy Hopper does have a campaign website and aFacebook page that you can only access if he 'friends' you.

And finally, in District 30-

Senator Dave Hansen has a campaign website, a Facebook page, and a dormant Twitter site that hasn't been used since March.

Dave Vanderleest has both a campaign website and a Facebook page.
