BARABOO, Wi--(WFRV) Tonight a Baraboo man is recovering after a tiger bit him this afternoon. It happened at the Wisconsin Big Cat Sanctuary in Rock Springs.
The man was a volunteer at the sanctuary.
Despite the man having to be taken by MedFlight to the UW Hospital, his wife and the owner of the sanctuary both agree this was not an attack.
The volunteer was injured by a tiger who just wanted to play.
"When i came down and yelled, he let go. But he didn't know what he did, he is just a tiger," said owner Jeff Kozlowski.
Kozlowski says he may consider adding additional fencing, and advising volunteer's on their clothing choices for assisting with the animals.
The Saul County Sheriff's Department is still investigating.
