GREEN BAY (WFRV) - With one week left in its 2010 campaign, the Salvation Army of Brown County stands little more than halfway to its $1.1 million goal, while the Fox Cities is approaching 70 percent of their goal.
The group says they are down roughly 15 percent in kettle donations, but down over 50 percent in mail-in appeal donations.
So organization leaders are sending out a plea for more bell-ringers in the week before Christmas in an effort to revive its Red Kettle campaign.
Brown County has raised about 58 pecent of its $1.1 million goal, while the Fox Cities has raised about 68 percent of its $1.2 million goal.
Salvation Army of the Fox Cities says they need to collect $30,000 per day in this holiday week in order to meet their goal.
About 60 percent of the kettle shifts are filled, so organizers say there is plenty of room for bellringers to join the ranks in this final week.
