SHAWANO CO. (WFRV) - The man involved in an early morning high speed from Green Bay to Shawano County has been arrested.
The man, 33-year old Michael Brabbs of Green Bay was arrested for 5th offense OWI, Eluding Police and Recklessly Endangering Safety. He was also operating without a valid driver's license. Brabbs is currently being held in the Brown County Jail.
Green Bay Police say the incident started next to the Wendy's restaurant on the 1100 block of Radisson Street when reports came in of a 21-year old Oneida woman being assaulted.
When police arrived a minivan took off. Police pursued the suspect, a 33-year old Green Bay man, all the way to Shawano County.
The man made several threats, claiming he had explosives. At times his vehicle reached speeds of 120 miles per hour.
Officers eventually stopped the car after it hit spikes they'd set up on Highway 29. The suspect would not cooperate so a police dog was let loose. It bit both the woman and man. He was also tasered. Both suspects were taken to Shawano Medical Center.
Alcohol was found in the vehicle.
The 21-year old Oneida woman has been interviewed and released. The relationship between her and the suspect and the disturbance is under currently under investigation.
