U.S. Senator Russ Feingold says he wants to debate his Republican opponent six times before the Nov. 2nd general election. Republican candidate Ron Johnson's spokeswoman Sara Sendek says he remains focused on Tuesday's primary and hasn't committed to any debates. She says Johnson will talk with Feingold and debate organizers after the primary about debates. Johnson faces nominal opposition in the Republican primary from Watertown businessman Dave Westlake and Milwaukee plumber Stephen Finn. Feingold says it's imperative Johnson debate him to outline his positions in more detail. Feingold says he wants to have Johnson say to his face that being a career politician is not a worthy profession.
