Mountain residents react to drug operation

MOUNTAIN (WFRV) - The news of a drug growing operation was quite a shock for people living in the Town of Mountain.
Steve Lang witnessed 200 federal, state and local officers gathering at the nearby community center on Wednesday, when stepping outside his home in Oconto County.
Authorities are staying tight-lipped on how many drugs were seized at the major marijuana eradication effort in the Nicolet National Forest.
Helicopters helped with aerial transport, surveillance and medical assistance.
Eight men arrested in connection with the marijuana bust appeared in federal court on Wednesday afternoon.
They were charged with manufacturing and intent to distribute thousands of marijuana plants.
