The Wisconsin Supreme Court is being asked to review a decision that ordered a new trial for a Green Bay man.
Cody Vandenberg, 45 years-old, was released from prison last month after serving 15 years of his sentence for attempted homicide and robbery.
He's now confined to his son's house. Vandenberg is represented by the Wisconsin Innocence Project which claims another man has confessed to the crime.
"We oppose the Supreme Court taking on this case because we think the result was fair and Cody needs to get on with his life and deserves to get on with his life." Said John Pray, Co-Director of WI Innocence Project.
It could take several months for the supreme court to decide on taking the case, in the meantime Vandenberg will remain at home.
