APPLETON (WFRV) - The Appleton Area School District will be able to save several jobs and add a few new ones thanks to some federal funding.
The Post Crescent reports the district is getting just under $3.2 million dollars. It will hire up to 14 elementary and secondary teachers to reduce class sizes. Other teachers will be recalled from layoffs earlier this year.
The district is only spending about half of the federal money this year. It has until 2012 to spend the rest of the federal money.
