NORTHEAST WIS. (WFRV) - A regional 911 center is in the works and an important vote comes tonight.
The project is a collaboration between Winnebago, Outagamie and Calumet Counties. Tonight Winnebago County will decide whether or not to fund a study about setting the center up.
Calumet and Outagamie Counties have already put money toward researching the idea. The Winnebago County Sheriff says the regional 911 center could help reduce budgets across the three counties. However, he wants to make sure the same level of local service would be provided.
