Suspect may have stabbed roommate over stealing accusation

TWO RIVERS (WFRV) – Two Rivers police have learned new details in the stabbing of a man from the city over the weekend.
Officials say the 36-year-old man was attached by a former roommate.
The suspect, 19-year-old Nickolas Blackwelder, allegedly told police he was upset the victim accused him of stealing his belongings when the two lived together.
Police say Blackwelder then admitted taking a sword and dagger belonging to the victim and attacking him in his sleep.
The victim had several deep cuts to his head, torso and arms. He’s expected to recover from his wounds.
