Zack Greinke took the mound at Miller Park Tuesday night (9/13). Greinke ended up with a short outing due to a high pitch count. His struggles began early with a 33 pitch first inning. He ended up going five innings. But he limited any damage, giving up one run on 113 pitches with 9 strikeouts.
Prince Fielder tied the game up 1-1 in the sixth inning with a solo home run. Then it was up to the bullpen. Both teams were held to no runs through nine innings. So fans were treated to some free baseball. It came down to the bottom of the eleventh, with the game still tied 1-1. After going 0 for 4 on the night, Brewers all-star left fielder Ryan Braun hit a walk off home run to win the game with a final score of 2-1
Milwaukee stands at six and half games above the second place St. Louis Cardinals. They will wrap up the short series against the Rockies Wednesday Night (9/14). Shawn Marcum will be the starting pitcher for the Crew. Start time is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
