Deadline for Sturgeon spearing license Monday night

GREEN BAY (WFRV) There are just a few more hours for sturgeon spearers to apply for a license for the upcoming season.
The DNR has established a deadline of midnight Monday October 31, 2011. A license is required on both Lake Winnebago and the Up River Lakes.
The 2012 Sturgeon Spearing season begins February 11, 2012 and will run for 16 days or until the cap for the season is met.
Last year the DNR sold a record 12,400 licenses.
Sturgeon Spearing licenses cost $20 for a state resident and $65 for a non-resident. Click here to apply for your license.
