June recall election a challenge for college students

Appleton, Wis. (WFRV) Some college students may need to vote absentee for the June 5th recall election in Wisconsin because they'll no longer be on campus. If a student registered to vote on campus, and is headed home for the summer, they'll likely have to request an absentee ballot.
You need to establish residency for 28 days before you can re-register in a new city and the time to do that has now passed. If they didn't plan ahead, students say they lost their chance to vote.
"A lot of us are just trying to get past our sophomore year. Then you realize there are all these other things going on," one student tells us.
It may be more of an issue for UW Oshkosh students. Today was their last day of classes. But Lawrence University students in Appleton should encounter too many problems. Their final exams are the same week as the election.
Some city clerks expect at least 15% of votes to be cast absentee.
